Your POS Pte Ltd. is a Singapore based corporation that was started by a group of people who recognized the need for a good POS system for customers who have multiple businesses in a number of related service industries (primarily food and beverage).

Our team includes:

  • An owner of a group of diverse food and beverage businesses
  • A POS software provider who recognized that his clients needed a better, modernized solution
  • A software developer with extensive experience managing the development of modern software that would interface with existing systems and software
  • A factory manager who brought different ways of looking at stock control and management to the process.

Each has provided insights, ideas and solutions that have allowed us, in conjunction with our development team, to develop a new, efficient solution for our market base.

We continue to develop our software and add new features, new functionality and improve our interface based on customer feedback and surveys. We are proud of the dynamic and sophisticated software that we have developed and continue to improve.

A different approach to the Food & Beverage Business

YOUR POS PTE LTD started as the idea of someone who was servicing point of sales systems for a variety of clients in the food & beverage industry and kept hearing the same “I wish there was” expressed in a multitude of ways. The features wanted varied greatly, but the need for a new, different system didn’t. So, this person went about figuring out if it was possible to do what was being asked for.

First, he talked to some of his clients, and one of them said he was interested in supporting the development of such a system. Next, he talked to a software developer to see what was possible and what kind of time it would take. That software developer not only said this was possible, he thought the idea was unique enough to want to invest himself. And eventually, with a lot of hard work and a great development team, YOUR POS was launched.

What is so different about YOUR POS?

Well, first, it’s designed entirely around the F&B industry, but not just bars or restaurants or clubs- but with features that make it effective for any F&B business. We started with the concept of the system being used as an enterprise level system, an ERP for F&B businesses. Designed not just for chains, but for enterprises which own a variety of F&B venues. That concept forces a different way of looking at the whole idea of a Point of Sales system – it requires an integrated vision that allows for a lot of flexibility as well as accessibility to data and management requirements from anywhere.

Second, the system needed to incorporate modern database technology and design. Successful F&B businesses stay in business for ten years and longer, and they want to be able to see trends over that time period, to see where their high and low volume times are, and to compare different locations and venues. The database design has to handle a large volume of data and get big without slowing down or crashing. Older systems often need data purged in order to maintain reasonable speed for operations. That simply wasn’t an option in the design of the YOUR POS database. In ten years, it should be just as lightning fast with gigabytes of data available to the client as it is on day one with a hundred megabytes.

Third, it must be easy to use. The cashier interface must be fast and easy to navigate and understand. The fewer clicks, the better. The backend must be intuitive and allow clients to manage their system easily and quickly. To that end, we incorporated a lot of innovations that should benefit any F&B business:

  • Flexible commission setups
  • Promotions that setup like a Facebook event
  • Promotions that activate and deactivate based on date and time
  • Reports that export to Excel
  • Lots of other innovations.
